In The Beginning…

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and all things seen and unseen. After He had created the earth and all things therein, He created man and gave him dominion over all of the earth including all things that were previously created. God also instructed man as to what his job was.

Previous to God creating man, there was a great battle in Heaven when Satan, a high ranking being God had previously created to serve under Himself decided through pride that he would place himself above God and be worshiped. In other words he attempted a mutiny against God and, naturally he lost the battle. When this happened, Satan and those “fallen angels” who had followed him were cast down from heaven to the earth.

Now when God gave the first man “Adam” dominion over the earth, He gave Adam only one law and that was he should not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and if he did, he would “surely die.”

God noticed that Adam was the only created being on the earth that could not procreate and had no mate so He created woman to serve those two purposes.

It was then Adam’s responsibility to educate the woman “Eve” on what God had imparted to him.

If you have any knowledge of the Holy Scriptures then you should be familiar with the way Satan deceived Eve into disobeying God’s command not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and she convinced Adam to do the same. We also about the “fall of man”, how Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden and the penalty they paid for their transgressions.

Because of this act, Satan now held the “title deed” to the earth, however, since God is outside of time and sees the beginning from the end, He was ready with a backup “plan – B” to redeem the earth from Satan’s control.

Jesus Christ, the Son of the one and only living God was sent to earth to redeem mankind by paying man’s “sin penalty” in full. Through Jesus’ “redemptive work” He was able to successfully capture the earth’s title deed back from Satan and therefore everything on and in the earth was transferred back to the original owner. God then passed the title over to Jesus as heir. The New Testament covers this.

Free Gift Of God

Before Jesus left the earth to sit at the right hand side of God, He commanded His disciples to spread the gospel “good news”, how Jesus had redeemed mankind from Satan and about the offer of Salvation and eternal life through out the whole world.

The deal for those who accept Jesus as the Son of God includes becoming joint-heirs with Jesus concerning His assets and eternal life with Him in heaven. Best of all, the price is right… free! This is how the term “free gift of God” was coined. The offer was and still is open to every man, woman and child on earth. The only stipulation is that one must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected on the 3rd day and be baptized.

The Ball Is In Our Court Now

Now that we know our true position with Jesus the ball is in our court, which means our next step should be to begin “renewing our minds” and study the Holy Scriptures on a daily basis so that we can learn the truth about God and His ways. This process will continue as long as we are on this side of Heaven. This is time well spent.

Conclusion

God’s original intent was and still is for man to have dominion over the earth and make the earth a “mirror image” of Heaven and spread the prototype of The Garden of Eden over the entire earth and the earth be ruled by His children.

Jesus came to redeem mankind and usher in God’s kingdom on this earth, not a religion.

Remember, this is only a test.

Something to ponder… “What if Adam and Eve had eaten from the Tree of Life before they ate from the tree of Good and Evil? I shudder to think about the consequences.
